Import of carded or combed staple fibres of polyesters to Georgia decreases in 2017

Synthetic fiber import dropped greatly by 90.71% in comparison to the previous year, new statistics from United Nations Statistical Office pinpoint. Synthetic fiber import sharply went down from 35 852 US Dollar in 2016 to 3 329.69 US Dollar prior year, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it declined by 63.38%. Georgia saw a growth of 4 944.98% in synthetic fiber import during the last 19 years. However, it has attained a negative compound average annual growth rate of 0.49 percent during the last 5 years with a slight overall increase since the start of time series. It averaged 20 512.62 US Dollar from 1999 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 97 892 US Dollar in 2015 and record low of 66 US Dollar in 1999.
