Export of  railway or tramway sleepers (cross-ties) of impregnated wood from Georgia: Rise in 2017

According to revised data announced by United Nations Statistical Office, compared with 2016 wood product export went up sharply by 86.84 percent. The variable climbed strongly from 93 cubic meter to 173.76 cubic meter, versus the prior year when it declined by 90.88 percent. Georgia saw a diminution of 71.28% in wood product export during the last 10 years. Moreover, it has shown a decline at a 0.34 percent compound annual growth rate during the last 5 years with a negligible overall drop since the start of observations. It averaged 985.88 cubic meter from 2008 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 2 916 cubic meter in 2014 and record low of 93 cubic meter in 2016.
