Import of yarn of synthetic staple fibres packaged for retail sale to Ireland goes down in 2016

According to figures published by European Commission, in comparison with the prior year yarn import fell strongly by 32.24 percent. The indicator greatly decreased by 22 700 kilogram, compared to the previous year when it rose by 60%. Ireland saw a growth of 633.85% in yarn import during the last 9 years. Still it has shown a negative compound annual growth rate of 0.03 percent over the last five years with a slight overall rise since the start of time series. It averaged 33 433.33 kilogram from 2008 to 2016 and it attained its all-time high of 70 400 kilogram in 2015 and record low of 6 500 kilogram in 2008.
