Export of roses from Cyprus falls in 2017

In comparison with the previous year cut flower export strongly fell by 92.18 percent, according to figures released by United Nations Statistical Office. The indicator sharply dropped from 28 322 US Dollar to 2 214.29 US Dollar, contrarily to the prior year when it climbed by 242.26 percent. The overall changes for the previous 22 years attained a diminution of 85.1%. Furthermore, it has had a decrease at a 0.36% compound annual growth rate during the last five years with a negligible overall growth since the start of time series. It averaged 2 478.6 US Dollar from 1996 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 28 322 US Dollar in 2016 and record low of 860 US Dollar in 2005.
