Bromine production in China: Drop in 2017

Bromine production decreased by 7.89 percent in comparison to the same time an year ago, according to data issued by U.S. Geological Survey. Bromine production dropped from 95 000 metric ton to 87 501 metric ton, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it went down by 5%. It reached its 13-year low. The overall changes for the previous 13 years attained a drop of 16.27%. Besides, it has had a negative compound annual growth rate of 0.04% over the 5 years with a marginal overall decrease since the start of time series. It averaged 107 769.31 metric ton from 2005 to 2017 and it hit its maximum of 137 000 metric ton in 2007.
