United Nations Statistical Office announced that footwear import greatly declined by 51.55% in comparison to the prior year. Footwear import dropped sharply from 14 546 834 US Dollar in 2016 to 7 047 523.5 US Dollar previous year, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it fell by 19.57 percent. Hong Kong saw a growth of 45.08% in footwear import over the past 25 years. Though, it has attained a negative compound average annual growth rate of 0.16 percent over the last 5 years with a slight overall rise since the 1993. It averaged 9 239 997.94 US Dollar from 1993 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 18 086 522 US Dollar in 2015 and record low of 3 850 492 US Dollar in 1999.
