Import of sets of hand tools put up in sets for retail sale to Sri Lanka: Fall in 2016

In comparison with one year earlier the variable greatly diminished by 54 percent, updated data from United Nations Statistical Office reveal. Construction equipment import went down strongly by 69 600 kilogram, versus the previous year when it increased by 4.86%. Sri Lanka saw a rise of 147.63% in construction equipment import during the last 18 years. However, it has shown a negative compound average annual growth rate of 0.11% during the five years with a negligible overall raise since the 1999. It averaged 84 951.94 kilogram from 1999 to 2016 and it hit its all-time high of 128 894 kilogram in 2015 and record low of 23 945 kilogram in 1999.
