Export of m-xylene from Singapore: Decrease in 2016

In comparison with the prior year xylene export greatly declined by 65.73 percent, revised figures from United Nations Statistical Office reveal. The indicator sharply decreased from 367 090 kilogram to 125 803 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it went down by 54.37%. It's the lowest number ever noticed since 2002. Singapore saw a fall of 99.87% in xylene export during the last 15 years. Besides, it has shown a negative compound average annual growth rate of 0.42% during the 5 years with a marginal overall decline since the start of time series. It averaged 22 088 108.33 kilogram from 2002 to 2016 and it attained its maximum of 156 398 208 kilogram in 2003.
