Import of sacks and bags, having a base of a width of 40 cm or more to Rwanda decreases in 2016

According to numbers published by United Nations Statistical Office, consumer goods import fell greatly by 31.67% in comparison with the prior year. Consumer goods import sharply went down from 1 031 196 US Dollar in 2015 to 704 605 US Dollar previous year, in comparison to the prior year when it climbed by 97.56 percent. Rwanda saw a growth of 1 601 275% in consumer goods import over the past 21 years. Still it has had a decline at a 0.14% compound average annual growth rate over the five years with a slight overall rise since the 1996. It averaged 318 577.67 US Dollar from 1996 to 2016 and it hit its all-time high of 1 482 080 US Dollar in 2012 and record low of 44 US Dollar in 1996.
