Import of transmission or conveyor belts or belting of textile to Namibia increases in 2016

According to refreshed figures issued by United Nations Statistical Office, the variable strongly grew by 549.2% compared with the previous year. The indicator went up sharply by 36 961 kilogram, in comparison to the previous year when it dropped by 27.54 percent. Namibia saw a rise of 329.44% in textile import during the last 17 years. Though, it has had a drop at a 0.02 percent compound average annual growth rate over the five years with a negligible overall decrease since the start of observations. It averaged 45 848.24 kilogram from 2000 to 2016 and it attained its all-time high of 179 497 kilogram in 2007 and record low of 2 119 kilogram in 2001.
