Export of single cotton yarn of combed fibres containing less than 85% by weight of cotton, measuring per single yarn 714-232 decitex from Portugal rises in 2017

Compared with the prior year cotton export strongly grew by 151.83%, according to adjusted data announced by United Nations Statistical Office. It's new all-time high since 1988 as cotton export climbed sharply from 48 142 kilogram to 121 236 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it went up by 16.94 percent. Portugal saw a rise of 695.2% in cotton export over the past 30 years. Moreover, it has attained the average annual growth rate of 0.12% over the five years with a negligible overall growth since the start of time series. It averaged 36 996.63 kilogram from 1988 to 2017 and it hit its minimum of 300 kilogram in 1992.
