Import of yarn of artificial staple fibres packaged for retail sale to Ireland: Drop in 2017

Yarn import strongly fell by 61.76 percent compared with the prior year, according to new statistics published by European Commission. The indicator sharply dropped by 9 560 Euro, versus the previous year when it climbed by 1 620 percent. Ireland saw a fall of 82.76% in yarn import during the last 10 years. Besides, it has had the compound average annual growth rate of 0.95 percent during the last five years with a marginal overall diminution since the 2008. It averaged 5 776 Euro from 2008 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 34 340 Euro in 2008 and record low of 20 Euro in 2014.
