Import of gold powder non-monetary to Thailand drops in 2016

Gold import fell strongly by 93.95 percent compared to the prior year, refreshed numbers from United Nations Statistical Office show. The indicator greatly went down from 612 kilogram in 2015 to 37 kilogram previous year, contrarily to the prior year when it climbed by 694.81%. Thailand saw a raise of 184.62% in gold import during the last 28 years. Though, it has shown a diminution at a 0.47% compound average annual growth rate during the 5 years with a slight overall rise since the start of time series. It averaged 309.39 kilogram from 1989 to 2016 and it attained its all-time high of 2 877 kilogram in 1997 and record low of 6 kilogram in 1998.
