Export of parts of machinery for making pulp, paper or board from South Africa increases in 2017

The indicator increased by 19.22% in comparison to the prior year, according to adjusted figures released by United Nations Statistical Office. Industrial equipment export climbed from 113 562 kilogram in 2016 to 135 383.56 kilogram previous year, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it grew by 38 percent. South Africa saw a rise of 450.7% in industrial equipment export during the last 18 years. However, it has shown a negative average annual growth rate of 0.23 percent over the five years with a negligible overall growth since the start of observations. It averaged 124 133.31 kilogram from 2000 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 492 210 kilogram in 2013 and record low of 24 584 kilogram in 2000.
