Export of railway and tramway axles, wheels and parts from Namibia climbs in 2016

Compared with 2015 railway equipment export strongly increased by 255.46 percent, revised statistics from United Nations Statistical Office highlight. The variable greatly went up from 2 874 US Dollar to 10 216 US Dollar, in comparison to the prior year when it fell by 62.59%. Namibia saw a diminution of 87.75% in railway equipment export during the last 17 years. Besides, it has had a negative average annual growth rate of 0.57% during the 5 years with a negligible overall growth since the start of time series. It averaged 288 681.35 US Dollar from 2000 to 2016 and it attained its all-time high of 1 235 224 US Dollar in 2013 and record low of 2 874 US Dollar in 2015.
