Import of sheath contraceptives to Thailand falls in 2016

Contraceptives import dropped by 21.82 percent in comparison with the prior year, according to refreshed data issued by United Nations Statistical Office. Contraceptives import declined from 2 106 288 US Dollar in 2015 to 1 646 798 US Dollar previous year, in comparison to the prior year when it went up by 45.43 percent. Thailand saw a rise of 8.81% in contraceptives import over the past 29 years. However, it has had a diminution at a 0.18% compound annual growth rate during the last five years with a negligible overall increase since the 1988. It averaged 1 116 639 US Dollar from 1988 to 2016 and it attained its all-time high of 4 406 970 US Dollar in 2012 and record low of 79 893 US Dollar in 2006.
