Export of keys of base metal from South Africa drops in 2017

In comparison with the previous year home hardware export decreased by 21.19 percent, according to updated numbers released by United Nations Statistical Office. Home hardware export fell by 18 764.2 kilogram, in contrast to the prior year when it increased by 105.7%. The overall changes for the previous 18 years hit a growth of 1 376.01%. Though, it has had a drop at a 0.16% compound annual growth rate over the five years with a modest overall rise since the start of time series. It averaged 72 728.71 kilogram from 2000 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 397 215 kilogram in 2005 and record low of 4 727 kilogram in 2000.
