Export of frozen shrimps and prawns from Philippines goes up in 2017

Frozen shrimps export rose by 26.17% in 2017, according to revised data released by United Nations Statistical Office. The indicator went up by 1 656 956 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it grew by 32.85%. The overall changes for the prior 22 years reached a diminution of 63.33%. Besides, it has shown the compound annual growth rate of 0.03 percent over the five years with a negligible overall fall since the start of observations. It averaged 13 588 621.41 kilogram from 1996 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 21 786 716 kilogram in 1996 and record low of 4 766 805 kilogram in 2015.
