Export of maize starch from Ecuador: Decrease in 2017

According to revised numbers issued by United Nations Statistical Office, maize starch export greatly went down by 73.47% compared with the previous year. The indicator sharply dropped by 4 220.95 US Dollar, in contrast to the prior year when it went up by 144.36 percent. Ecuador saw an increase of 4 382.5% in maize starch export during the last 26 years. Still it has shown a drop at a 0.25% compound average annual growth rate over the last five years with a negligible overall decrease since the start of observations. It averaged 67 887 US Dollar from 1992 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 651 093 US Dollar in 2003 and record low of 34 US Dollar in 1997.
