Import of yarn of artificial staple fibres not packaged for retail sale to European Union rises in 2016

European Commission announced that yarn import went up sharply by 76.07% in comparison to one year earlier. The variable grew strongly by 41 752 800 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it rose by 0.92 percent. European Union saw a diminution of 12.24% in yarn import during the last 14 years. Besides, it has had the compound average annual growth rate of 0.01 percent during the five years with a slight overall decline since the start of time series. It averaged 103 158 928 kilogram from 2003 to 2016 and it hit its all-time high of 158 083 600 kilogram in 2007 and record low of 54 390 000 kilogram in 2014.
