Import of waste from the mechanical working of iron or steel to France falls in 2016

The variable fell by 6.79 percent compared with the same time an year ago, updated data from United Nations Statistical Office reveal. Iron import decreased by 25 675 584 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it diminished by 6.82%. France saw a rise of 63.36% in iron import during the last 23 years. However, it has shown a negative compound average annual growth rate of 0.1% over the last five years with a negligible overall growth since the start of time series. It averaged 383 574 507.13 kilogram from 1994 to 2016 and it hit its all-time high of 605 991 616 kilogram in 2012 and record low of 215 825 760 kilogram in 1994.
