Import of yarn of synthetic staple fibres packaged for retail sale to Ireland declines in 2016

Compared to 2015 yarn import greatly fell by 38.88 percent, revised statistics from European Commission indicate. Yarn import declined sharply from 782 680 Euro to 478 380 Euro, compared with the prior year when it rose by 32%. Ireland saw an increase of 319.93% in yarn import during the last 9 years. Though, it has had a decline at a 0.09% CAGR over the five years with a slight overall raise since the start of observations. It averaged 435 113.33 Euro from 2008 to 2016 and it reached its all-time high of 782 680 Euro in 2015 and record low of 113 920 Euro in 2008.
