Chromite ore imports in United States decreases in 2015

According to statistics published by U.S. Geological Survey, in 2015 chromium import hardly fell by 3.61 percent. The indicator slightly diminished by 2 100 metric ton, in contrast to the previous year when it grew by 5.64%. The overall changes for the prior 18 years reached a diminution of 52.14%. Moreover, it has shown a decline at a 0.04 percent compound annual growth rate during the last five years with a modest overall decrease since the start of observations. It averaged 61 283.33 metric ton from 1998 to 2015 and it hit its all-time high of 117 000 metric ton in 1998 and record low of 23 000 metric ton in 2009.
