Plug-in hybrid electric vehicle registrations in Portugal decreases in Q1 of 2018

Electric vehicle registration dropped by 12.27% compared with fourth quarter 2017, revised statistics from European Automobile Manufacturers' Association show. The variable declined from 905 to 794, in comparison with the previous quarter when it rose by 57.94%. The year before, the indicator was growing by 21.94 percent and hit 389 number in Q1. This shows a 104.11% variation between Q1 2017 and Q1 of the year after. Portugal saw a rise of 1 790.48% in electric vehicle registration during the last 3 years. Likewise, the electric vehicle registration is now above average of 362.92 with a negligible overall raise since the start of time series. It reached its all-time high of 905 in Q4 of 2017 and record low of 42 in Q1 of 2015.
