Export of fresh or chilled onions and shallots from Ecuador grows in 2017

United Nations Statistical Office reported that onions export went up greatly by 138.45% compared to one year earlier. The indicator grew sharply by 660 927.5 kilogram, contrarily to the previous year when it fell by 65.37%. The overall changes for the prior 27 years hit a raise of 227 558.1%. However, it has shown a decline at a 0.45 percent compound average annual growth rate over the five years with a slight overall rise since the start of observations. It averaged 20 393 464.8 kilogram from 1991 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 55 392 364 kilogram in 2002 and record low of 500 kilogram in 1991.
