Import of semi-chemical pulps of other fibrous material to Latvia goes up in 2016

Wood pulp import rose by 7.38 percent compared with the previous year, adjusted statistics from United Nations Statistical Office illustrate. The indicator went up from 196 236 kilogram in 2015 to 210 717 kilogram prior year, contrarily to the previous year when it dropped by 29.32%. Latvia saw a growth of 29 247.77% in wood pulp import over the past 22 years. Still it has had a diminution at a 0.05 percent average annual growth rate during the 5 years with a modest overall rise since the 1995. It averaged 155 432.27 kilogram from 1995 to 2016 and it attained its all-time high of 366 109 kilogram in 2008 and record low of 294 kilogram in 1999.
