Import of live horses except pure-bred breeding to Australia increases in 2016

In 2016 horses import rose by 18.32 percent, according to refreshed figures issued by United Nations Statistical Office. The indicator grew by 321, contrarily to the previous year when it decreased by 2.12 percent. Australia saw a decrease of 22.27% in horses import over the past 29 years. Besides, it has attained a diminution at a 0.01% CAGR over the last five years with a modest overall drop since the start of time series. It averaged 1 952.79 from 1988 to 2016 and it hit its all-time high of 3 240 in 1989 and record low of 662 in 2001.
