Export of furniture parts from Sri Lanka climbs in 2017

In comparison to 2016 consumer goods export strongly climbed by 59.44%, updated statistics from United Nations Statistical Office indicate. Consumer goods export grew greatly from 246 638 kilogram to 393 243.59 kilogram, compared to the previous year when it diminished by 45.94 percent. Sri Lanka saw a raise of 1 605.53% in consumer goods export over the past 19 years. Moreover, it has had a growth at a 0.04% compound annual growth rate during the 5 years with a negligible overall increase since the start of time series. It averaged 275 565.87 kilogram from 1999 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 456 192 kilogram in 2015 and record low of 23 057 kilogram in 1999.
