Direct-reduced iron production in Saudi Arabia: Raise in 2014

U.S. Geological Survey reported that direct-reduced iron production rose by 7.67% in 2014. The indicator went up by 460 thousand tonnes, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it climbed by 5.26%. It's the highest record ever established since 1998. The overall changes for the previous 17 years reached a raise of 184.83%. Besides, it has attained a 0.03 percent compound annual growth rate over the last five years with a modest overall rise since the 1998. It averaged 4 193.06 thousand tonnes from 1998 to 2014 and it hit its minimum of 2 268 thousand tonnes in 1998.
