Import of locks of a kind used for motor vehicles of base metal to Samoa drops in 2017

Home hardware import strongly diminished by 82% compared to 2016, according to statistics presented by United Nations Statistical Office. The indicator dropped sharply from 229 kilogram in 2016 to 41.23 kilogram previous year, versus the prior year when it increased by 70.9%. Samoa saw a decrease of 34.56% in home hardware import over the past 16 years. Besides, it has had a diminution at a 0.12% compound annual growth rate over the five years with a marginal overall drop since the start of time series. It averaged 221.01 kilogram from 2002 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 2 664 kilogram in 2004 and record low of 15 kilogram in 2008.
