Import of fruits, nuts, fruit-peel preserved by sugar to Dominican Republic: Fall in 2016

According to numbers issued by United Nations Statistical Office, processed fruits import sharply decreased by 69.92% in comparison with the prior year. Processed fruits import diminished greatly from 191 330 US Dollar to 57 554 US Dollar, versus the previous year when it climbed by 16.94 percent. The overall changes for the prior 16 years hit a diminution of 88.13%. Besides, it has shown a negative average annual growth rate of 0.28% over the 5 years with a slight overall drop since the start of observations. It averaged 243 035.31 US Dollar from 2001 to 2016 and it reached its all-time high of 813 198 US Dollar in 2011 and record low of 37 555 US Dollar in 2010.
