Salt production in Denmark: Stagnation in 2015

U.S. Geological Survey published that salt production remained unchanged compared with the previous year. The salt production was 600 thousand tonnes, for the 5th consecutive year. Denmark saw a drop of 0% in salt production over the past 18 years. Besides, the salt production is now greater than its average which equals 591.06 thousand tonnes and the indicator demonstrates a moderate overall decline since the 1998. It hit its all-time high of 610 thousand tonnes in 2005 and record low of 497 thousand tonnes in 2008.
