Export of mercury from Switzerland decreases in 2017

According to refreshed figures issued by United Nations Statistical Office, export of mercury fell by 19.91% in 2017. The variable dropped by 5 798.31 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it decreased by 71.46%. Switzerland saw an increase of 686.6% in export of mercury during the last 30 years. Still it has shown a negative compound average annual growth rate of 0.29 percent during the 5 years with a negligible overall raise since the start of observations. It averaged 57 358.22 kilogram from 1988 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 316 631 kilogram in 2004 and record low of 2 965 kilogram in 1988.
