Household expenditure on domestic help in Japan: Raise in 2017

Household expenditure on domestic help grew by 7.73 percent in 2017, according to adjusted numbers announced by Japan National Statistical Office. The variable increased from 1 526 Japanese Yen in 2016 to 1 644 Japanese Yen previous year, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it rose by 8.92%. Japan saw a growth of 79.48% in household expenditure on domestic help during the last 15 years. Moreover, it has had a rise at a 0.07% CAGR during the last five years with a negligible overall increase since the start of observations. It averaged 1 213.53 Japanese Yen from 2003 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 1 716 Japanese Yen in 2011 and record low of 855 Japanese Yen in 2006.
