Import of single cotton yarn of combed fibres containing more than 85% by weight of cotton, measuring per single yarn 232-192 decitex to Germany: Rise in 2017

According to figures announced by United Nations Statistical Office, cotton import went up sharply by 37.55 percent in comparison to the previous year. Cotton import greatly climbed by 1 544 013 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it grew by 10.75%. Germany saw a fall of 66.96% in cotton import over the past 27 years. Furthermore, it has shown a 0.03% compound annual growth rate during the last five years with a slight overall diminution since the start of time series. It averaged 8 531 753.44 kilogram from 1991 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 17 118 750 kilogram in 1991 and record low of 3 712 763 kilogram in 2015.
