Lime production in Serbia rises in 2014

Lime production rose by 14.7 percent compared with the previous year, according to statistics released by U.S. Geological Survey. The indicator grew from 279 thousand tonnes in 2013 to 320 thousand tonnes prior year, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it increased by 16.95%. Serbia saw a decline of 78.99% in lime production over the past 17 years. Besides, it has shown a 0.06% CAGR over the last five years with a modest overall fall since the start of observations. It averaged 289.07 thousand tonnes from 1998 to 2014 and it reached its all-time high of 1 523 thousand tonnes in 1998 and record low of 238.56 thousand tonnes in 2012.
