Production of yarn of synthetic staple fibres not packaged for retail sale in Bulgaria drops in 2017

Yarn production hardly decreased by 4.69% compared to the prior year, adjusted data from European Commission show. The variable barely dropped by 149 457 kilogram, in contrast to the prior year when it grew by 14.15 percent. Bulgaria saw a decrease of 65.22% in yarn production over the past 10 years. Besides, it has had a negative compound average annual growth rate of 0.13 percent over the 5 years with a negligible overall decline since the start of observations. It averaged 4 480 908.3 kilogram from 2008 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 8 736 646 kilogram in 2008 and record low of 2 792 630 kilogram in 2015.
