Production of woven fabrics of cotton weighing less than 200 g/m² used for clothing in Romania: Fall in 2017

Woven cotton fabric production decreased by 14.21 percent compared with the previous year, adjusted data from European Commission illustrate. The indicator dropped by 160 170 square meter, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it diminished by 50.7 percent. The overall changes for the previous 18 years reached a growth of 17.27%. Still it has attained a negative compound annual growth rate of 0.11% during the last five years with a marginal overall drop since the start of observations. It averaged 1 370 232 square meter from 2000 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 5 122 000 square meter in 2008 and record low of 824 436 square meter in 2000.
