Export of matches from Sri Lanka: Decline in 2017

Explosive export declined by 17% in comparison with the previous year, adjusted numbers from United Nations Statistical Office demonstrate. The variable diminished by 75.3 kilogram, versus the prior year when it went up by 98.65%. Sri Lanka saw a decrease of 67.89% in explosive export over the past 19 years. Moreover, it has shown a negative average annual growth rate of 0.4 percent over the five years with a modest overall decline since the start of time series. It averaged 1 252.93 kilogram from 1999 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 7 704 kilogram in 2001 and record low of 206 kilogram in 2004.
