European Commission published that flax yarn import increased greatly by 48.89% compared with the prior year. Flax yarn import strongly rose from 16 630 Euro in 2015 to 24 760 Euro previous year, versus the prior year when it decreased by 38.54 percent. Slovakia saw a fall of 96.78% in flax yarn import over the past 14 years. Moreover, it has had a diminution at a 0.17 percent average annual growth rate over the last five years with a negligible overall decline since the start of time series. It averaged 192 445 Euro from 2003 to 2016 and it reached its all-time high of 767 970 Euro in 2003 and record low of 16 630 Euro in 2015.
