Kerosene demand in Hong Kong: Decline in June 2018

According to figures announced by JODI Data, in comparison with the prior month kerosene demand slightly decreased by 2.25 percent. The indicator fell negligibly from 4 436.47 thousand barrels to 4 336.71 thousand barrels, in contrast to the previous month when it increased by 1.01%. The year before, the variable was declining by -1.25 percent and reached 4 209.89 thousand barrels the same month the year before. When looking at the year-on-year situation, a 3.01% rise can be established between June 2017 and the same month the year after. Hong Kong saw a growth of 157.92% in kerosene demand during the last 16 years. Likewise, the kerosene demand is now higher than its average which equals 3 249.67 thousand barrels with a negligible overall raise since the 2002. It attained its all-time high of 4 583.51 thousand barrels in December 2017 and record low of 1 265.77 thousand barrels in June 2003.
