Re-import of live horses except pure-bred breeding to New Zealand increases in 2016

According to figures issued by United Nations Statistical Office, horses import went up by 19.53 percent in 2016. The variable increased by 18 400 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it grew by 1.37%. New Zealand saw a drop of 22.25% in horses import during the last 6 years. Likewise, it has had a negative average annual growth rate of 0.01% over the five years with a negligible overall diminution since the start of observations. It averaged 114 205.33 kilogram from 2011 to 2016 and it hit its all-time high of 144 813 kilogram in 2011 and record low of 92 922 kilogram in 2014.
