Import of newspapers, journals and periodicals, with less than 4 issues per week to Moldova: Fall in 2016

According to revised statistics announced by United Nations Statistical Office, the indicator decreased by 12.62% in comparison with the previous year. Newspapers import went down from 322 498 kilogram in 2015 to 281 812 kilogram prior year, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it dropped by 24.16%. Moldova saw a rise of 95 106.76% in newspapers import over the past 23 years. However, it has attained a negative compound annual growth rate of 0.18% during the five years with a negligible overall raise since the 1994. It averaged 475 459.83 kilogram from 1994 to 2016 and it reached its all-time high of 1 334 091 kilogram in 2011 and record low of 296 kilogram in 1994.
