Import of newspapers, journals and periodicals, with less than 4 issues per week to Moldova: Decline in 2016

Newspapers import went down by 12.62 percent in 2016, according to updated data issued by United Nations Statistical Office. The indicator decreased by 40 686 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it declined by 24.16 percent. The overall changes for the previous 23 years hit a raise of 95 106.76%. However, it has attained a diminution at a 0.18% average annual growth rate over the 5 years with a marginal overall rise since the 1994. It averaged 475 459.83 kilogram from 1994 to 2016 and it reached its all-time high of 1 334 091 kilogram in 2011 and record low of 296 kilogram in 1994.
