Number of deaths of women while pregnant or within 42 days of termination of pregnancy, irrespective of the duration and site of pregnancy, from any cause related to or aggravated by the pregnancy or its management but not from accidental or incidental causes. Percentage of women who received antenatal care provided by skilled health personnel for reasons related to pregnancy at least once during pregnancy as a percentage of live births in a given perdiod. Number of pregnancy terminations occuring in a specified reference period, usually measured per 1,000 women of reproductive age (15-44 or 15-49 years).
