Import of homogenised jams, jellies to Mongolia: Decrease in 2016

Compared with one year earlier confectionary import declined by 23.19%, according to updated numbers presented by United Nations Statistical Office. Confectionary import went down from 1 696 791 kilogram in 2015 to 1 303 314 kilogram prior year, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it fell by 14.76 percent. Mongolia saw an increase of 961.19% in confectionary import over the past 21 years. Though, it has attained a negative compound annual growth rate of 0.09% over the 5 years with a modest overall raise since the 1996. It averaged 555 077.95 kilogram from 1996 to 2016 and it hit its all-time high of 1 990 641 kilogram in 2014 and record low of 108 093 kilogram in 2000.
