Export of filled chocolate and cocoa preparations in blocks, slabs, bars weighing more than 2 kg from Guatemala: Rise in 2016

Chocolate export negligibly grew by 1.36 percent in comparison with the prior year, according to updated statistics announced by United Nations Statistical Office. The variable slightly rose from 33 788 kilogram to 34 246 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it climbed by 67.51 percent. The overall changes for the prior 24 years hit a decline of 62.79%. Likewise, it has attained a negative compound average annual growth rate of 0.25 percent over the last five years with a marginal overall diminution since the start of time series. It averaged 151 671.58 kilogram from 1993 to 2016 and it reached its all-time high of 418 958 kilogram in 1998 and record low of 20 171 kilogram in 2014.
