Import of medicaments of other antibiotics packaged for retail sale to Malta: Increase in 2016

According to data announced by European Commission, in comparison with the prior year antibiotic import increased by 23.2 percent. Antibiotic import rose by 544 600 Euro, in contrast to the previous year when it fell by 81.5%. The overall changes for the prior 14 years reached a decrease of 15.7%. Likewise, it has had a negative compound average annual growth rate of 0.06 percent during the five years with a modest overall raise since the start of observations. It averaged 4 101 239.29 Euro from 2003 to 2016 and it attained its all-time high of 12 688 030 Euro in 2014 and record low of 2 347 400 Euro in 2015.
