Production of woven fabrics of synthetic staple fibres mixed other than with wool, fine animal hair or cotton in Belgium climbs in 2016

Woven fabric production increased hardly by 0.89% in comparison to the prior year, revised figures from European Commission constitute. The indicator rose slightly from 5 159.79 thousand square meters in 2015 to 5 205.68 thousand square meters previous year, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it grew by 10.21%. The overall changes for the previous 12 years reached a decrease of 17.71%. Furthermore, it has attained the average annual growth rate of 0.06 percent over the five years with a negligible overall fall since the start of observations. It averaged 5 208.43 thousand square meters from 2005 to 2016 and it hit its all-time high of 7 732.33 thousand square meters in 2013 and record low of 2 536.58 thousand square meters in 2011.
