Production of salt suitable for human consumption in Italy: Rise in 2017

Condiment production climbed by 12.85 percent in comparison with the previous year, according to refreshed data released by European Commission. Condiment production went up by 62 238 016 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it rose by 59.05%. The overall changes for the prior 10 years attained a diminution of 71.74%. Furthermore, it has shown a rise at a 0.08 percent average annual growth rate over the last five years with a modest overall drop since the 2008. It averaged 831 398 092.8 kilogram from 2008 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 1 934 105 984 kilogram in 2008 and record low of 304 556 992 kilogram in 2015.
