Fuel oil demand in Greece: Rise in June 2018

Fuel oil demand rose by 14.89 percent in June 2018, revised statistics from JODI Data display. The indicator climbed by 42 thousand tonnes, as it follows the tendency of the previous month when it grew by 3.3 percent. The numbers reached 335 thousand tonnes in June 2017, which is a 5.35% variation in comparison to the previous month of 2017. This demonstrates a -3.28% change between June 2017 and the same month in 2018. Greece saw a diminution of 33.33% in fuel oil demand over the past 16 years. Furthermore, the fuel oil demand is now lower than its average which equals 399.84 thousand tonnes with a moderate overall decline since the start of time series. It hit its all-time high of 656 thousand tonnes in January 2007 and record low of 240 thousand tonnes in November 2015.
