Fuel oil demand in Greece: Growth in May 2018

According to figures released by JODI Data, fuel oil demand increased by 5.86% in comparison to the prior month. Fuel oil demand climbed from 273 thousand tonnes to 289 thousand tonnes, in comparison with the previous month when it went down by 1.09%. The data attained 318 thousand tonnes in May 2017, which is a 8.9% fluctuation compared with the previous month of the same year. When looking at the year-on-year situation, a -9.12% decrease can be established between May 2017 and the same month the year after. The overall changes for the prior 16 years reached a drop of 40.53%. Compared to its average, the fuel oil demand is now smaller as the mean equals 400.26 thousand tonnes with a moderate overall decline since the start of observations. It hit its all-time high of 656 thousand tonnes in January 2007 and record low of 240 thousand tonnes in November 2015.
